Learn everything you need to know about sourdough in this comprehensive baking class. From the science of sourdough baking to learning how to make sourdough starter and managing baking challenges, this crash course provides essential knowledge for success.
Sourdough bread baking is as simple as it is complex. You will make sense of sourdough through science and theory, live demonstration, experiential learning, and collective troubleshooting. By the end of the class, you will leave with a live sourdough starter and the knowledge and inspiration to care for it properly.

As a bonus, when you enroll in this class, we include access to our self-paced online Sourdough Bread Baking for Beginners Course to guide you from starter to your first loaf of bread. Consider it hand-holding for your journey into sourdough baking. You will also be fully equipped to take Teaching Table's Intermediate Sourdough Baking Course if you choose to continue your education.
During class, we will snack on freshly baked sourdough bread and butter, of course. Teaching Table will also provide a generous spread of charcuterie, cheese, various spreads, dried fruit, and nuts for nibbles throughout the experience.
