Class Description

Description

You love to eat sushi, so now learn to make it yourself. Master the necessary ingredients and equipment, discover where to source specialty items, and practice the fundamental rolling techniques essential to sushi preparation.

This course focuses on three essential sushi varieties: norimaki (traditional rolled sushi), uramaki (inside-out rolls), and temaki (hand rolls). You will work with a selection of fresh and quality ingredients, including vegetables, tuna, salmon, and fish roe, to create authentic sushi dishes.

School Notes:

We don't have any age restrictions on either our classes or events. We take people of all ages, but those under 21 years of age are not allowed to consume wine or any alcoholic beverages.

We had so much much at this class! The sushi making was harder than it looks but we still had so much fun with the hands on experience. Abigail and her staff are also so nice and so much fun to talk with and ask questions to! I would recommend this class to anybody who’s interested in food and cooking!

Sushi basics was great. I took my sister for her birthday— we loved the context given to the ingredients, the small stories and jokes sprinkled in, and the quality of instruction. There was lots of freedom in the sense that could you essentially freestyle sushi making if you wanted, but the instruction was stellar, and I was making full rolls in minutes. 10/10!
