You may have tasted these beloved Asian dumplings and appetizers, but can you make them from scratch? This all-ages workshop teaches participants to prepare dumpling dough and roll wrappers entirely by hand, comparing homemade results with store-bought alternatives. You will learn to prepare multiple dumpling filling varieties, including vegetarian options and chicken with chives, then master several distinct folding techniques. Discover the technique for achieving the coveted crispy dumpling skirt through pan-frying, and taste both pan-fried and steamed preparations. The workshop concludes with folding personalized fortune cookies.
According to tradition, the foods we consume during the Lunar New Year influence our fortune throughout the coming year. Join us for this all-ages dumpling workshop to welcome good luck and prosperity while creating delicious dishes you can enjoy together.
